Exclusive Interview – Composer Henry Jackman on Cherry

Film composer Henry Jackman has worked on a plethora of Hollywood productions, alongside directors as diverse as Paul Greengrass and Matthew Vaughn. His musical arrangements differ wildly project to project encompassing movies such as Captain America: Winter Soldier to Seth Rogen’s This Is The End 

In collaboration with the Russo brothers from 2014 on a variety of projects, Henry Jackman has been able to carve out his own niche in an industry which offers its own challenges. With their latest film Cherry he has used his music to explore perspective, dissect point of view and enhance a complex narrative structure. 

Recently he sat down with Martin Carr to discuss his ongoing working relationship with the Russo brothers, as well as opening up about what made Cherry such an interesting proposition. Watch the interview here…

In an epic odyssey of romance, war, drug addiction, and crime, a young man (Tom Holland) struggles to find his place in the world.

Directed by the Russo Brothers, Cherry sees Tom Holland starring alongside Ciara Bravo, Jack Reynor, Kelli Burglund, Jack Reynor, Forrest Goodluck, Jeff Wahlberg, Michael Gandolfini, Kyle Harvey, and Thomas Lennon. It is set for release in theaters on February 26th and exclusively on Apple TV+ from March 12th.
