Richard E. Grant and Claire Foy Run a Savage House

Written and directed by Peter Glantz, Savage House is a decadent romp that introduces some down on their luck landed gentry in the shape of Lord and Lady Savage. Fleeing from debtors, keeping up appearances, and embracing elements of The Favourite by Tony McNamara, Richard E. Grant and Claire Foy go hell for leather in this first trailer.

Foul-mouthed, feckless, and not beyond degrading themselves to retain their country pile, these savages throw caution to the wind to save face. Dealing with dwindling resources and gifted one last chance to curry favour and elevate the family name, Savage House looks to be equal parts period farce, with some scenery chewing thrown in for good measure.

With a superior supporting cast including Pip Torrens, best known for AMC’s Preacher and Patrick Melrose opposite Benedict Cumberbatch, Savage House is a tale of ripping yarns and bodice bursting bonamie. Whatever the outcome of their nefarious schemes, all will be revealed this June when Paramount Pictures unleashes Savage House into cinemas.
