With Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels on production duties for this updated take on Mean Girls, fans of the original Lindsay Lohan classic are in for something special. This time round new student Cady Heron (Angourie Rice) is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called “The Plastics,” ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George (Reneé Rapp) and her minions Gretchen (Bebe Wood) and Karen (Avantika).
What follows is a reinvention from the mind of Tina Fey that feels familiar, yet intentionally brings something fresh to the table. Due to hit cinemas from 17 January courtesy of Paramount Pictures, Mean Girls also features Jon Hamm embracing the role of Coach Carr.
